Morphe Brushes: Part 1 Face Brushes

I have been on the hunt for great quality makeup brushes at affordable prices.  I have a vast collection from just about every company out there.    Most recently. I had the honor of attending a Flawless Face makeup class by one of my favorite mua, Angel Merino aka Mac Daddy.  His tools of choice were all, Morphe Brushes PLUS he used several eye shadows from Morphe!  In this particular class, it was an intimate, up close viewing of him applying a full day to night face, explaining each step.   I was amazed at the way the brushes all applied. He also passed items around for us to hold and touch. I instantly jumped on my phone to order, the second I left the class.

Here I will run down my most used Morphe Brushes and give you info/details.  I will separate this into a multi part "series". Because I have so many favorites, it will be best to break it down into functions.

To order: please visit their site www.MorpheBrushes.com.  They have a physical store in sunny Burbank, Cali. Not only are the brushes extremely inexpensive (ranging from $1.99-13.99 averaging around $3.00 for most brushes)  Also check them out on Instagram @MorpheBrushes    (I was not paid to write this nor will I be compensated if purchases are made, as a result of my posts. )

      Lets start with face/foundation brushes.
The B9 Deluxe Oval foundation brush is amazing! It is in the Luna/Luna Badger collection.  Price is $4.99.  This brush has a long steardy black handle, and a full oval tapered head of white with black bristles.  It does slightly absorb product, however not much.  It is great for cream or thick liquid foundation.  It leaves no streaks! I love to pat foundation on using the flat side.

The m436 Mini Duo Fiber is also a great foundation brush  At $6.99 it is a steal.  It is identical to my Mac 188, but a bit shorter thicker head.  It is great for thinner liquid foundation.  I also use it to apply a light wash of blush or bronzer as it picks up only small amounts of product.

The IB107 Medium Oval Foundation brush, is actually on the smaller side.  It is Italian Badger, long but thin brush head is perfect for applying under eye concealer (in a patting motion) or applying cream contour in small but precise places.

The M437 Pro Blender/Contour is BY FAR my fav brush from Morphe.  It has a full, dense, slightly rounded top brush head. It is even better then the Mac 109. I can not say enough good about this brush.  I use it to contour, then to apply blush. At $6.99, you must own this brush!

These brushes are ALL well made, have mid weight wooden handles and have the brush head attached well. I have not had ANY shedding.  I wash my face brushes atleast once a week if not once every 3-4 days, as I wear makeup almost every day.  You can buy synthetic or animal hair brushes from Morphe.     When I order from the site, I receive confirmation email immediately and another email once it ships. Orders take between 2-5 business days to process and shipping is quick. I receieved my orders packaged in plastic, then placed in a bubble mailer. Sent First Class usps. You have options to shipping carriers and lengths.

In my next installment I will outline eye brushes including the 5-6 blending brushes Im obsessed with.   I will also be adding measurements for the brushes.

Just Another Blogger

It feels like every other minute, a new blog is started.  Especially in the beauty industry, blogs over saturate social media.  Instagram is over flowing with "Self taught Makeup Artists", all of which have a blog and youtube channel.  I feel like SO many young ladies want to call themselves a blogger or beauty guru in desperate hopes of becoming internet famous and to make money.  Also, many young ladies believe if they post makeup looks or products, they are a guru.  It makes having a beauty blog all the more difficult.  I have struggled over the decision of starting my own blog.  I have wanted to blog for many years.  I love being able to read blogs about specific products before I decide to try them for myself.  I also feel that over the years I have taken the time to learn as much as I can about beauty products.  In my early 20's I wanted to get my cosmetology license and become a hair stylist.  Its long been a passion of mine.  As a teen I spent hours upon hours, playing with makeup and hair.  ITs a deep seeded passion of mine, to be immersed in beauty products, and all things girly.

I have put off starting my blog because it deeply disappoints me to see all the young ladies chasing money and fame trying to be bloggers and gurus for all the wrong reasons.  I would never knock anyones hustle, nor am I trying to put anyone down.  I just do not want to be shoved into a group of "bloggers" that are in this for the wrong reasons.  I want to stand out and my work speak for itself. I will not measure my success in money or promotions.

Im so fortunate to have had a unique view point of the beauty/fashion industry, working behind the scenes with a very popular, successful jewelry company, surrounded by successful women.  I have been able to learn the in's and out's of the successful gurus and bloggers careers.   I have come to learn the extreme work it truly takes to fully blog from a well rounded, knowledgable view point.  The amount of time and money it takes is intense.  But I am oh so ready to put in everything Ive got to see this dream through. My aim is not to be successful by others standards, but to keep uploading helpful informative blogs about products, companies and subjects I am passionate about.   I hope you all stay with me through this journey.

Million Dollar Tan

I naturally have a olive tone to my skin, being that Im part Spanish (from Spain). I have always tanned very easily but as Im older now, I do not lay out or spend time in the sun. At a point in my life, I frequented tanning beds (baaaad choice). Now Im a big sunless tanner lover.

Over the past few years I've tried many sunless tanners. Many from the drug store, a few high end, and more. I've tried lotions, creams, mouse, sprays and gels.   Last summer I was able to try Million Dollar Tan. I first used the regular Cabana Tan lotion then the cabana tan extreme.  I had obviously seen numerous youtubers and bloggers rave about the products and company, so I had very high expectations.

First, I do like the packaging. Its a white plastic bottle with a cool black pump. The pump can be twisted to a "lock" position which is great for travel or storage. The bottles I have were each 4 fl oz. and lasted for several applications.
I personally enjoy the lack of color gaurd. Some people prefer a color guard to feel better knowing exact application. Million Dollar Tan is a white creamy lotion.  Although it lacks a distinct color guard, its very easy to see application. You can see the white cream as you rub it in. For me, I prefer this because I can see not only where I applied but where I need to rub it in better to insure places that need deeper color, or less color (such as knees and elbows).  I personally do not like color in tanner because I feel it gives a false sense of what the color develops too and also rubs off on clothing, furniture, etc.

The company recommends you apply soon after drying off after a shower. I agree. I take it a step further and recommend a great exfoliant during your shower. I enjoy Million Dollar Tan Body Buffer. Its a clear, water soluble gel cleanser with tiny beads. Not too much exfoliants, which is great for sensitive skin. It smells like peppermint.   I also recommend  shaving areas you normally shave prior to tan application. Shaving alone will exfoliate, so no need to use exfoliant on legs.   I also use a very moisturizing body wash.

Apply tanner after drying. Very easy. The cabana tans are very creamy and moisturizing.  After application wash hands. I never had orange or discolored hands, even when I washed my hands quickly.  With other products, I had to SCRUB my hands to ensure no discoloration. Even then, I still had orange hands :(

I prefer applying Cabana tan in the evening. Color takes 4-6 hours to develop. I take a shower in the morning if I plan to go out. The Cabana tans have no scent. Most sunless tanners have a very distinct smell, especially after color develops.  Not the case with Million Dollar Tan products.   I also use my regular moisturizer the day after to help my skin stay supple.  The Cabana Tan and Cabana Tan Extreme develops to a very natural, beautiful color. I've never had any orange tint or streaking.  It does not look "fake".

Color wears off differently for different people. My skin is far more dry in cooler months and I naturally shed skin after about a week. So I reapply every 4-5 days. Ive never encountered patches, or streaks where color wears off.  I shower and wash my skin daily using a puffy loofah. I've not experienced any need to reapply  more often, even through all the showers.  I use Cabana tan on my neck, chest, stomach and back. Then use Cabana tan Extreme on my legs, shoulders and arms. I have used Cabana Tan on my face a few times and loved it. I have sensitive, acne prone skin and did NOT break out or have uneven fading. I know they also make Cabana Tan especially for face. I wash the tanner off my hands and feet.

All around I really enjoy Million Dollar Tan products. They are Paraben free, no animal testing, made in the USA and work very well. I highly recommend buying from this company. Customer service is excellent and prices are comparable to similar products.

Cabana Tan 4 fl oz $20.00
Cabana Tan Extreme 4fl oz $26.00
Body Buffer 4fl oz $12.00

Get To Know Me

Hello! My name is Sheresa.  I want to take this time to introduce myself and make my first blog as a "Get To Know Me".

I am 30years old and live in Arizona. Im a mommy, wife, sister, daughter, friend.  I work for an AMAZING company, Princess P Jewelry Co. I have been with PPJ since July 2012.  Pilar Vargas started the company in May 2012. I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity to not only learn the various ways Pilar has made PPJ so successful, but to be a part of this industry I have so much passion for.  I consider myself a part of the fashion/beauty industry. As I help with PPJ social media, marketing, affiliates, sales, promotions and customer service,  I have been able to get very well acquainted with the Instagram/Youtube beauty Guru/Fashion Blogger industry.  I've had the opportunity to become well acquainted with various popular beauty product companies also.  We have been approached by many companies to review products.

My personal blog will be full of beauty/makeup product reviews, tutorials, how too's, OOTD, and more.  Being a mom, I also want to blog about various mom related topics and products.  I personally am obsessed with researching products before purchasing. I love blogs and youtube videos.  Great bloggers give more then just information, they give well articulated opinions.  I am excited to finally get my opinions and information out there, in hopes it helps others.  This blog has been a passion of mine for many years.  However being a dedicated, full time mom PLUS working for such a successful, amazing company www.princesspjewelry.com , my free time has been almost non existent.  I think its vital for us to follow our dreams and achieve our goals.  I want to set the best example for my kids, especially my daughters, that our dreams are important, and achievable.

Im always open to any questions.  Im excited to start this blog:)
